The multiple-choice part of the UK theory test gives you 57 minutes for 50 questions, followed by an optional break of up to 3 minutes and then the hazard perception clips. With check-in beforehand, expect to be at the test centre for around an hour and a half.
The multiple-choice part
50 questions, 57 minutes. That is a little over a minute each, which is more time than most people need — the pressure in this section is rarely the clock.
Before it starts you get instructions on how the test works and a practice question, so the first real question is not also the first time you have used the interface.
The break
You can take a break of up to 3 minutes before hazard perception starts. It is optional and short, but worth taking: the two parts ask completely different things of you, and going straight from reading questions into watching clips is a harder switch than it sounds.

Plan for about 90 minutes at the centre
Roughly: 15 minutes of arriving and checking in, 57 minutes of multiple choice, a short break, then hazard perception and your result. Do not book something tight straight afterwards.
