What to bringBring your UK photocard driving licence to a theory test. That is the whole list for most people. If you turn up without the right documents the DVSA cancels the test and you do not get your money back, so it is worth checking the night before.
Arriving lateYou are asked to arrive 15 minutes before a UK theory test. If you arrive after your appointment time the DVSA cancels the test and you lose the fee, so you have to book and pay for another one. There is no grace period to rely on.
How long it takesThe multiple-choice part of the UK theory test gives you 57 minutes for 50 questions, followed by an optional break of up to 3 minutes and then the hazard perception clips. With check-in beforehand, expect to be at the test centre for around an hour and a half.
