The Drivings assistant is a driving tutor that knows the rules for your region. Ask it to explain something you got wrong, quiz you on a topic, or settle a question about a road sign, and it answers using the DVSA's material rather than general web knowledge. It is included with Pro.
What it's good at
- Explaining a question you got wrong, in a way the answer key does not.
- Quizzing you on a topic: ask, and it runs a scored quiz in the chat.
- Settling specifics: what a sign means, what a rule actually says, what the limit is for your vehicle.
- Working from a photo or a document you attach.
It answers for your region, so a UK learner gets Highway Code and DVSA rules and a US learner gets their state's. If you have switched region recently and the answers look wrong for where you are, check Profile → Region.
Getting better answers
Be specific about the situation. "What does this sign mean?" with a photo beats describing it; "explain why B is right when I picked C" beats "I don't get question 14".
Ways to talk to it
- Type in the message box.
- Dictate with the microphone: your speech becomes text you can edit before sending.
- Voice mode for a spoken conversation, hands-free.
Where it can be wrong
It is an AI tutor and it can be wrong, particularly on anything that changes: fees, waiting times, booking rules. For those, check the DVSA directly. It shows its sources when it has used them, so you can check the original.
What it costs
The assistant is part of Pro. Chat uses a small number of credits per reply: see credits and top-ups.
