What awaits you on test day?

After weeks of hard work and a lot of effort, you’re so close to finishing your driving licence journey.

One final step: passing the practical test and you're ready to hit the road!

Before you head out on your big day, make sure you double check that you’ve got your provisional. Also, you need to get to the centre 10 minutes before.

Your driving test will consist of:

  • An eyesight test to check your ability to read a number plate from a distance of 20 metres
  • Two “show me, tell me” questions on vehicle safety and maintenance
  • A 20-minute general driving under the guidance of your examiner. Plus, you'll need to perform one of the manoeuvres like parallel parking, bay parking, or pulling up on the right.
  • A 20-minute independent driving, during which you’ll either follow sat nav directions or sign posts to reach a clear destination.

Once you get back to the centre, you’ll be given a feedback sheet right away. This sheet will outline any faults made during the test.

If you pass, you’ll also be handed a test pass certificate—a little something to brag about!
