How do I change my region?

Updated Aug 4, 2026

Open Profile then Region and choose the country you are testing in. Drivings then switches your courses, practice questions and help content to that market — the UK follows the DVSA theory test, the US follows your state permit test. You can switch back at any time.

Changing it

Profile → Region, then pick the country you are taking your test in.

What changes

Your courses, practice questions, mock tests and help content all switch to that market. The UK track follows the DVSA theory test and the Highway Code; the US track follows your state's permit test.

What doesn't change

Your account, your subscription and your XP stay exactly as they are — you are not starting again, and you do not pay twice.

Progress is tracked per region, though. Switching to the US and back will find your UK progress where you left it, because the two courses are separate bodies of material rather than translations of each other.

Which to choose

Pick where you are actually taking the test, not where you live. If you are learning in the UK on a foreign licence, the UK track is the one that matches the test you will sit.
